1. Policy Statement

American Health Plan (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to ethical telemarketing and communication practices. It is our firm corporate policy to fully comply with all applicable federal and state telemarketing regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules codified at 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200, and the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR).

We respect the privacy rights of all individuals who prefer not to receive telephone calls or text messages from our licensed insurance advisors or representative partners.

2. National Do Not Call Registry Compliance

The Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission established the National Do Not Call Registry to give consumers a choice regarding telemarketing calls. American Health Plan accesses and scrubs our calling campaigns against the National Do Not Call Registry at intervals that meet or exceed statutory mandates (at least every 31 days).

Our agents do not initiate outbound marketing calls to numbers listed on the National DNC Registry unless an established business relationship exists or the consumer has provided prior express written consent via an affirmative web inquiry on our website.

3. Internal Do Not Call Registry

American Health Plan maintains an automated, centralized Internal Do Not Call (DNC) Registry. If you express a desire not to be contacted by American Health Plan, your phone number will be recorded in our internal database, and you will receive no further outbound marketing communications from us.

Scope of Request: An internal DNC request applies specifically to the telephone number(s) provided. If you have multiple telephone numbers (such as a home landline and a personal mobile number), please provide all numbers you wish to have registered on our internal list.

4. How to Submit an Internal DNC Request

You can request placement on our internal Do Not Call list through any of the following convenient methods:

  • Verbal Request: Tell the licensed advisor during any phone conversation that you wish to be added to our Do Not Call list. The agent will record your preference immediately.
  • SMS Reply: Reply “STOP” to any automated or manual text message received from our telephony systems.
  • Email: Send your full name and telephone number(s) to dnc@americanhealthplan.us or hello@americanhealthplan.us.
  • Online Form: Use the direct submission form below:

Internal Do Not Call Submission Form

Enter your telephone number to be added to our internal suppression list.

✓ Your telephone number has been submitted to our internal suppression database. Please allow up to 24–48 hours for global system synchronization.

5. Processing Timeframe & List Retention

  • Processing: Although federal regulations permit up to 30 days to process Do Not Call requests, American Health Plan strives to suppress requested numbers in our primary CRM and dialer platforms within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.
  • Duration: In accordance with federal guidelines, numbers registered on our internal DNC list are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of submission, or until the consumer subsequently requests a new quote or explicitly opts back in.

6. Employee Training & Regulatory Auditing

All American Health Plan sales representatives, licensed health advisors, and customer service staff undergo mandatory initial and annual compliance training regarding TCPA regulations, TSR protocols, calling hour restrictions (8:00 AM to 9:00 PM local recipient time), and proper DNC logging procedures. Our compliance team conducts regular audits to ensure zero outreach occurs to registered numbers.

7. State-Specific Telemarketing Laws

American Health Plan adheres to all state-specific telemarketing statutes and Mini-TCPA laws, including Florida (CS/SB 1120), Oklahoma (HB 3168), Texas (Business & Commerce Code Ch. 302), Pennsylvania, and Washington, enforcing calling hour limitations and call-attempt caps per consumer.
